MapleRunHome focuses on the technical aspects of thermal insulation and energy efficiency for existing residential buildings in the Czech Republic. The content is organised around three main subject areas: external wall insulation systems, roof and attic insulation construction, and energy audit procedures under Czech and EU legislation.
Articles describe material properties with reference to applicable Czech technical norms (ČSN), European standards (EN) and the requirements of Act No. 406/2000 Coll. on Energy Management. Where relevant, they cross-reference the subsidy conditions of the New Green Savings (Nová zelená úsporám) programme administered by the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic.
Content is written in a descriptive, technical style. The aim is to present the same level of detail found in installer handbooks or building physics textbooks, in language accessible to homeowners, housing association committees and property managers.
Articles do not promote particular manufacturers or contractors. Material comparisons use published thermal conductivity values (λ declared) and fire classification data from European Technical Assessments or product datasheets. Where numerical values differ between sources, the more conservative figure is used.
